Synchro Silks at Ricoh Arena

 

April 2019 brought the offer of my first fully synchronised aerial performances. Working on behalf of CodeRed Entertainment and Totally Flirt Ltd, Nerina Orton and I were hired to perform 2 synchronised aerial silks routines at the Ricoh Arena. I love a good circus challenge! This one was to get not one but TWO synchro silks routines ready in 4 weeks with @nenedhel.absynthium for this coming Saturday. this is a first for me, having not done synchro before. Nerina choreographed both routines, and the majority of the material in them is entirely new to me and I'm grateful for the steep learning curve. Synchro comes with its challenges, but I think we're doing pretty well together! Like an artist needs to step away from their painting to really see it, it's usually on the journey home that I can appreciate my training once I've gained a little distance from it.
