Butterflies of Birmingham
An illuminated Butterfly puppetry act by EEA for OPUS
Birmingham Light Festival, 2025
A dreamy spectacle, a kaleidoscope of butterflies descends on Birmingham! These interactive, improvising butterflies appearing periodically around the ‘Peace Poem’ light installation, outside The Hippodrome, as part of Birmingham Light Festival which was produced by OPUS.
I adore butterflies and it was a joy to join this fluttering ensemble!
My role
Butterfly puppeteer:
- Ensemble work – improve and explore movement work as a group, non verbally. Syncronise and scatter, follow and flutter.
- Engage – Greet audiences, hovering overhead, pausing for photos
